Want a Canoe next, but Case or Queen? And do the Queens have one spring or two?

I absolutely love Canal Streets Cannitler pattern. It has a beast of a main blade with a thick stock of D2 steel with a nice swedge.
I regret to this day trading this blade away that was done in Buffalo horn. I've looked every where for a replacement but have had no luck. Hopefully I'll find one some day.

I have 4 Buck Canoes ...no pics of the China made ones but they are pretty good knives. Have one in tortoise shell and one in yellow (?delrin)... They are well made and take a keen edge and seem to perform rather well. Overall F & F is excellent on my models. The other two I have are the 308 Buck/AG Russell collaborations. Those are stunning knives, but very expensive...those two have one blade of S30V and the other one is (correction)154CM . I'll dig out the pic of the AG R collab. Knives in a bit...

Just compared the Buck 389 (China Made) to my Case...almost identical in overall dimensional comparison...however the blades are much thicker ground on the Buck.

A small correction...the 308 signature Canoe has a spear blade of 154CM, and a Warncliff blade of S30V...the one with the Ivory scales below is a Build Out and the scales are Mastodon Ivory...the other is the limited run of 250 pcs and sports Stag Scales...

There ya go. :-)

Very, very nice. Every time I see a(nother) amber bone Case, I stop and take note.

Uh, oh.

Well, thanks. This new BlackBerry is a big improvement over the earlier ones (on many levels).

possibly hi-jacking the thread and almost surely upsetting to canoe purists but I have to ask...

Has anybody ever done a Canoe with a spear point/cap lifter blade combo? Yes, echos of last year's forum knife. Would love to see that blade combo in a Canoe pattern.

That CASE Canoe shows what good scales Amber bone offers, and, after a year or two it mellows with even more character.

I only have a 3 blade stag Queen/Pardue collab canoe. I often hear it called a "gunboat" as well, but not sure if it is the right blade configuration for that, as it has two main spears, and one small coping blade.

These pics are poor, but all I have right now. I took my belt grinder to the edges, and they are sharp now.

if Queen's D2 is anything like CSC's- there will be a Queen in my future as well. my Cannitler went on an all day cardboard bender in the shipping dept at work yesterday and i was really surprised how well it just kept performing and coming back for more. sweet blade, it made a mockery of the box cutters normally used.
