Want a small, fixed blade for possible EDC...

I don't know why but I've also been interested in a small EDC fixed blade.

Besides the BK11/14, I've read about the Blind Horse, the BRKT, the Blackjack Necker, and the Boker Krein pocket bowie.
I've also been searching online auctions for "neck knife" and after wading through hundreds of them I've found a few that were interesting.

For my pocket carry I've decided that it needs to be about 6.5" overall length which is in "neck knife" territory. With my hand size I need a handle of about 3.25-3.50" which still leaves plenty of room for a good blade. Some neck knives are skeletonized without scales- I can make my own scales or cord-wrap the knife.

The BHK fits your description perfectly. ~$70 and it is a very nice blade.

Hard to go wrong with an Eskabar.
Another one to look at is the ESEE Izula II.

My dad was looking for a good neck knife a couple months ago, I got him a Scrapivore from SYKCO and so far it has held up very good, looks great, and has one of the best warranties you could hope for. You can get one for 50$ or get it with a kydex sheath for 10$ more, pretty good deal in my opinion.

Not ringing any bells, but I'm a little slow today, so you might need to spell it out.

The outdoors trader. It's a great site if youre interested in buying/selling guns. Every now and then you'll find a good priced knife.
