Want: Grundig Yacht Boy 400 shortwave/AM/FM radio, have knives to trade

A few years ago, I did some research on SW's, which I have to admit, I STILL don't understand the operation of. I bought the Sony, it is a great radio, more readily available, and I believe, significantly less money.

Just curious as to the reason for your choice.

Best Regards,

I have no idea myself.I dropped my Sony for the 101 time and it stopped working,I`ve had it for more than 10 yrs and dropped it countless times and it still worked, but no more. People seem to grab the Grundig on ebay a lot,so I`m just following the herd.I listen mostly to AM talk radio such as CoasttoCoast.

Hi I don't know if you can use it or not I have a Yacht Boy 230 weltempfanger I don't know what major differences are between the 230 and 400 but probably significant. It is in it's leather pouch with manual and original box. Works fine and no scars from dropping that i can see but your welcome to try it out for your self. If you would like me to take a scan of it and are interested shoot me a trade offer. to james_h_79329 at yahoo.com
Thanks
James

I have the Yachtboy 400 and love it.... It was a big improvement over the Radio Shack starter Radio I had first bought.... Good luck in your search..

I have some various Hallicrafters and some Zenith Transoceanics if you might be interested. Also some Ten-Tec and a Yaesu ham radio.
