I have a bug up my rear end to make a simple slipjoint. I just found Chris Crawford's old slipjoint tutorial on my computer (didn't know I had it!) and I want to tackle this project now. I need a small-ish piece of precision ground 3/32" O1 for the lockbar and blade. I'm thinking maybe a 1-2" wide by 5-6" long piece, I guess? Email me and we can discuss price and/or trade possibilities (I have some cool handle materials, a 2/3/4 step pulley for 5/8" motor spindle, etc). Thanks!

My old standby McMaster Carr has precison ground O1 1 x 18 x 0.094 for $9.00 each. Shipping would probablu only be $3.75 and if it is shipped out of their Chicago wharehouse, it will get to you the next day.

Their part number is: 9516K183

Their website is: www.mcmaster.com

Hope that helps, it would be cheaper and faster than trading your step pully for some.

I have some spare pieces that are .125"x.850"x3.550" that I'd send you a piece or two for free, but for thinner material, the above link seems like a deal..
