Want to build an Outdoor/Survival pack

TTD, What brand is the pack that carries your stuff. In the pic beige with ESEE patch? THX

Hi, I'm Andy I'm new here

A few things in my survival gear that I usually don't see mentioned in threads like this that are very useable; Plastic drop cloths(as a tarp,or poncho, or solar still), zip-ties, soap, razor, razor blades, rags, small towels, duct tape wrapped around a plastic card, 5 inch dia. 2 inch deep steel can that once contained cooked chicken(as a pan or cup, or scoop) Hope this gets your gears turning and helps improve your kits. BD

- Small wool bedroll
- Emergency blanket
- US issue canteen
- US issue canteen cup
- 2 pr. socks (1 of them wool)
- 150' 550 cord
- 10" blade chopper
- 3 & 1/2" blade gerber gator folder (plain edged)
- Compass
- Small first aid kit
- 35mm film canister full of fishing hooks and split wieghts

My pack weighs in at about 10 lbs. fully loaded with what I personally consider to be everything I would need. Anything else can be aquired as needed.

BTW, any pack that the straps don't break off of is a good pack. I have never owned or saw the need to own a Max pack when my old SDS ASSPACK works just fine. You can find them at local gun shows for about $15 - $20 each. Just my 2. ;)

Something that folds up relatively small that can be very valuable are contractor trash bags. Generally 3 or 4 mil thickness, much thicker than a standard trash bag. Can pick them up at Home Depot or the like.

Thanks to all those who have listed supplies in this thread. Ive been carrying a BOB for years and always felt like there were things i was forgetting. Now i can finish it off.
