Want to make a knife...Kits?

 Actually I think it's gonna be a hole lotta sandin'. If I can get the holes drilled straight and even on both sides, that'll be half the battle. Wouldn't you know, Mark doesn't have a drill press. That would of made a lot easier. Measure twice, cut once, right? I really thought I was getting a pre-drilled, pre-shaped handle. :D Silly me. Ah, a challenge!

Have the skull of his brother(or cousin or some other relation) hanging too, after we found his carcass in a ditch when we were taking down our stands the year before. He was a nice one too.

You wouldn't happen to live on a small, shipwreck-prone island, would you?

nah, grab a horn off the wall decor and a saw... use the old scales as a template and chop out a new set :D

Heh! It happens... buy an "extra" set just in case :D

Better yet, ordered what I though I was getting in the first place, pre-machined, drilled Cocobolo scales AND 3 sets of dymondwood scales. I'll use the pre-machined ones as templates:thumbup: How bad could I screw that up?...:foot:

Hi Boys
This is Mark's better half, Holly.
I want to try my hand at making a knife and was wondering
what my best bet would be as far as kits go. I've check out
Texas knife supplies and googled a few others. I'm not sure
what would be the best to try as a starter project, so I am
turning to all you knowledgable individuals to help me out.
Oh and I want to do a fixed blade hunter or skinner.
Holly
