Hello,
I have a wedding coming up and am interested in purchasing a knife lot if available. I have been scouring the "for sale" forums but to no avail. I have found several suitable knives on quality websites that I can always turn to, but I may be able to get better quality of the money through the forum and also if someone is looking to unload some knives it would be a win-win.
I would greatly prefer folders but am open to fixed blades.
Items must be NIB or at least LNIB. looking for about 6 knives give or take a couple.
I would prefer no spydercos.
Let me know!
Thank you,
MRuss

I haven't seen much in the general F/S forum lately, but you might find a knife lot F/S in the Traditional F/S subforum. Traditionals seem to come up in lots more than modern style folders and traditionals make excellent gifts at weddings and other traditional type functions. I'm guessing these are for gifts to groomsmen or something like that.

How about 6 CRK's?
On a more serious note we've been through this before. Get your groomsman the SAK Alox knives of your choice and have them engraved.

We don't do business in the discussion forums. I'm moving your thread to the Wanted to Buy forum.

I put a lot of thought into that, but I know that at least three of them already have a victorinox of some kinds so it's not the most feasible option. I decided to to build a gift box for each of my groomsmen and role friends, though a little over budget, that will include (more than likely) a mora, zippo lighter gift set, some light fishing tackle, and some fine ales. But if i can find a good deal on some quality folders i wouldn't mind adding them to the mix if possible.
I thought with all the knives going around here that i might be able to find a good deal and also help someone sell a few all at once.
and I for the most part i do like CRK's.

What is your budget?

The better the deal the easier it would be on me haha, hoping for a great deal in the like $10-25 per knife range. But that could be stretched if I really like the knives available.

My apologies, I am new and still learning the ropes.
Thank you for the aid.

No worries at all. This thread is actually turning back towards a discussion thread so I'm going to move it to General. Please no buy/sell offers though.

How about a Kershaw 3870 Amplitude?

It is in your price range and has a 2 1/2 inch blade so it should be legal almost everywhere that you can carry a knife. Would make a nice, small gentleman's frame lock. It is nothing like a SAK so you would have no complications there. To top it off, it is one sleek, sexy looking knife.

Should run you about $20-25 per knife. I think Amazon has them for about 22 bucks.

Whatever you do, don't get the "groom's gift" knives off of etsy. They are garbage.

I'd go with some Schrade Old Timers or maybe engraved SAKs like wtlj mentioned.

What's the budget per knife?

If max is $25 just get everyone a rat 2.

I don't even own any knife from Ontario rat and I'd recommend it just based on the phrase I see it gets.

I like the idea of making a gift set with several items but you may want to consider not going for the more items is better approach. Spending a few dollars more for a better knife and skipping the fishing stuff might be a better route.

We do a ton of Buck 327 and 285s for groomsman gifts for their price point. Kershaw has several nice knives in the lower price range that would also make a nice gift. I gave all my guys skylines and they were a hit.

I'm young but luckily I wasn't born yesterday, the vast majority of that stuff is just for show. Thanks for the input

Thank you for the input, the fishing items will actually be of no cost to me so it's basically just an added bonus to all my fishing buddies there.
Buck knives have actually been one of my top prospects in this process. Thank you for commenting and I will likely be in touch to discuss possibilities.
