I'm working on a build and need a small chunk of ivory. Needs to be around a 1/4" thick and 1" by 1-1/4+ will be shaped into an oval a tad smaller then that and sandwiched between two matching chunks of wrough iron. I'm just hoping someone has something kicking around so I don't have to go buy a full set of scales. Thanks guys

Warthog tusk Ivory might be the cheapest route I use it for bolsters all the time the inside is solid white.

Any particular color. Do you prefer fossil walrus or mammoth. I have lots.

This is my first time working with it so I don't really know what I'm looking for. Just wanted to put a little extra flare and color contrast into this seax I'm building. Handle will be iron wood or redwood burl and have a stacked bolster area of wrought iron with the ivory between. It will be about 1.0625 X .875 oval that's around a 1/4" thick and be tapered into a gentle arc of the wood which will flare back out twords the butt. It's going to be a knife that's used so I'm hoping that being between the wrought iron will support it. As to mammoth or walrus I'm not sure, which ever one you think would work better in this situation. I'm a sucker for the nice cream and grain pattern of interior ivory, But I'm not picky at all. Looking for a color that will go good with the wrought iron and wood. But like I said I'm new to ivory so any advice would be welcome. thank you

I think a cross section of fossil walrus ivory with some color in it that will complement both your red colored wood and the wrought iron will suit you best. PM me your email address and we will send you some pictures with prices. It's much easier to send pictures over the email, Thanks Mark
