I am looking for two rather specific blade blanks to be ground and heat treated by a professional, then I would like to finish, sharpen and make fittings for them myself. I am looking for someone to make a cpm 3v osoraku zukuri (approximately 4 inch tang and 9 inch blade out of .2-.25 stock) and a kwaiken (approximately 4 inch tang and 4 inch blade out of ~.125in stock) in your choice of cpm 10v, k390 or s110v (whichever you can source and have worked with before). I can provide drawings in any format you like (cad, pdf, etc). I am also equally happy to have these made by separate or the same maker.
I am most interested in getting these ground perfectly and having them heat treated by someone that can get the absolute most out of the steels, even if that is peter's. I will be happy to discuss requirements further and if you have ideas that might improve on my vision, I would love to know. Please post or pm me here and I'll email you or we can set up a phone call. I would appreciate it if you could offer me a ballpark estimate of cost for either knife or both with your initial contact.
