I would echo the sentiments regarding the Spartan Harsey, and add a used Medford Slim Midi - new would put you outside your budget.

If you’re looking for quality all titanium frame locks under $500 I would seriously look at the Spyderco titanium models - (Spydiechef, Techno 2 and Swayback). Although these are made in Taiwan, they belong to an elite group of folders produced by an American company and have the same lifetime warranty and superior service as a CRK. Spyderco is as patriotic a company as it gets and there is still that pride of ownership that comes from owning these knives at the under $500 level IMHO

You can get a Chinese Lochsa knock-off for $400. For a real one, you will pay 5K for a plain one and much more for Damascus, etc.
