"Wants" list

I don't just want one of these, I NEED one. Simply the best AR type available to the public today...hell, I'd say it's superior to the M4 and only second to the HK416.

I want a nice bolt action .308. Rem 700 would do well. Really nice wood stock with a bipod and nice scope.

I don't hunt, and I'm not really a tactitian type, just seems like a nice gun to keep around.

What's on your must have list and why? For me it's another HiPower to replace on I foolishly sold and another Garand to burn up a large amount of Lake City surplus I plan to buy.

Magazine for my Albanian SKS. I detailed mine,re-did the stock ,fired a few clips & stuck it away in the safe with my S&W .32 rimfire War of Northern agression [Civil war ] pistol . Recently downsizing I, like an idiot, sold it for $550 .

The buyer,a Quebecoise, called an hour whining so I bought it back along with a pistol.

So,instead of depositing $5,200 bucks I deposited $2,500 . No big deal !

I was disenchanted with the 10 round SKS capacity & bought a poly type 20 round for $12 bucks---piece'a crap.

I love the rifle, beautiful lines, great finish ,very accurate & dependable AND there are only about 5,000 left !

I'll find a steel magazine & be prepared for looters this hurricane season....

My wants and needs are simple. I'd like that ever elusive creature - a good man who loves me and all that that implies.

Nothing much. . . . .a suppressed, full auto MP5. :D

oohh! mp5sd!! check this: my department had the opportunity to get several of these from an agency that was going under. before we could get them into the building, some city politician decided they would make better paper clips.

we ended up with some benellis and other stuff, but damn if those sound dampened subguns wouldnt have been fun!

Wilson Tactical Elite (yes its way overpriced but have you shot one? magnificent)

Bowen Classic Arms converted Bisley to heavy 45 LC... this one is more realistic as I've been thinking of shipping my Bisley off.

Marlins 1895 Cowboy in 45/70

Well, I just bought my new Kimber Pro Carry, so scratch that off the top of the list. I guess I'd have to pick a brand new Bridgeport milling machine and all the tooling to go with it. Man, that would be sweet!

yes ive seen those. very cool!

dont think ill be spending an additional 1300 to have mine converted though.

yeah, 1300 could buy a few nice additions to the collection. I had one other addition to my wants list -- I was at the Turners shooting fair out in the desert yesterday and I got to shoot a paraordinance double stack LDA .45. I tend to be pretty curmudgeonly with anything new, esp any changes to the 1911, but I really really liked it -- hit 10 of 10 pigeons off the fence one handed at 30 paces or so... now I kinda want one.

i had a para lda i just traded. good guns and nice to shoot. the lda mechanism is a bit fragile, and they initially had issues with their double stack magazines. though i understand they corrected that.

as a target handgun they are great. as a carry option i am hesitant, i have seen reliability issues on the range. though, again, with older models. but the lda trigger mechanism remains the same.
