You mean besides the fact that you're holding it backwards? I'm guessing the inside edge serrations.

backwards??? that in the pic is called the forward grip.

the index finger through the hole is the reverse grip.

theres not just one "right" way to hold and use the Karambit.

Very freaking cool Daniel! Did you order yours when they were first up for sale or did you wait a while? The urban grey looks pretty cool especially when you can get double cut. I think Garth said they tried a double cut and they just could not get the steel finished enough to make the DC look right.

yep,,I ordered mine when they were first posted,,

I like the gray finish because it is the closest "looking" to double cut than any of the other finishes,,, but i would love to see one of these in Snakeskin/Satin finish:eek:

Have to be a dissenting voice here guys. I know you all love this company but that baby is pretty low on the utility scale. My take on it is the company is marketing and selling it to soliders overseas, it is more of a good luck charm for active duty soliders than a practical knife.

Uhm, your point is?

For reference, in its country of origin, the kerambit is THE utility knife. I use a very similar blade shape in my leatherwork, very agressive cutter. :)

Thats an awesome knife Galaxytech!

Leatherman that would an expensive leather cutter. But I think the key word was "similar". Look I wont spoil your fun. I know this is a fan club. But my point is the warboar is more of a toy than a useful knife.

thanks Leatherman,

yes,,In Indonesia, the karambit has always been used as a utility cutting tool as well as a defensive weapon.

just do a "karambit" google search ,, there is plenty of documented history behind the utility as well as defensive nature of this unique blade

Welcome to our little group stickbobby. The kerambit has had a long history as a utility blade, that can not be denied. As for this being a "fan club", I would advise you that that sort of thing has a poor tone and I would wager saying something like that in any makers' forum would raise the temp a bit, probably get some harsh responses in many other makers' forums. Please stick around and get to know the folks around here, best group of people I have met in a long time.

Ok progunner I have tried to stay out because I thought anyone with a different viewpoint would be shark bait. Or hog bait. But I very much appreciate your comments and tone and will take you up on advice. This is a company I would like to learn a whole lot more about. I can see the validity of your comment about "fan club" also but it didnt occur to me as I posted it. Thank you.

I try to give every one the benefit of the doubt. That bad thing about the internet is the lack of expression that is possible with just words and emoticons. Please do learn more as you see fit. Some from the outside see us as crazed and brainwashed, but let me tell you, I wouldn't spend my time or money with a company or product I didn't truly believe in. Get a Busse in your hands and beat the hell out of it, the knives do all the talking on their own, and that isn't hype. :)

Now Daniel, how sharp is she? I have the custom Comrambit and it isn't hair popping sharp, not that it needs to be it is a claw after all. I am just curious as to the sharpness of these bad boys.

Ok Progunner, you know the more I learn about knives the more all I care about is quality. Just to give you an example, I bought a little lone wolf Loveless slipjoint folder called a city knife. I thought I was buying quality but the thing has a weak as heck backspring and the point of the knife had grinder burn! Can you believe that? With all the post I see here about quality I just keep moving more along the lines to where you guys are.
