Yeah I know it probably voids the warranty but I thought it had to go, and no this isn't a Photoshop trick! I just finished her in my work shop a few hours ago, I dig it!!

That does look good. You just shortened the tang and drilled a new hole for the tube rivet? Hmmm.... :cool:
 
Yeah that's about it, I ground the choil out to make it the same size as the tang! Once that was done I shortened the tang, drilled a new lanyard hole. Then fastened the handle back on with a stainless tube flared busse style :)

I like it. My War Dog sees some use but the choil never does. So I can understand this modification.

I'll keep my choil, though. With my limited skills, it just makes it that much easier to sharpen.

had that been the initial format, I probably would have bought one... well.... or tried to come up with the funds for one at least...
 
Wow! You really did an awesome job. If I were able to do that, I'd probably use my WD. it would be awesome to thin it out too.

The Basic 4 does look pretty slick though. I'm excited for that one, although I'd prefer it with Mudders.
