I had fortune (or misfortune) to encounter few self proclaimed experts in real life. And they vere wery vocal about what do they think I should have (the same that they have).

So, are they right and Mora Companion, Tramontina machete + some axe is the best combo there is and I'm just a mall ninja who wasted his money on overpriced mall ninja knife?

Or there's no issue with me as my knife is sufficient for my use and I'm happy with it, and they're just a******s to stroke their ego?

In my opinion it's more simple (and easy to carry) to have 1 knife than to drag along a knife, machete and an axe... but I could be wrong.

Why would you carry around a knife, machete and axe ?
Do you live in the rural area where this is needed ?

My thoughts too.

I just take a knife to a hike and that's it. I mean 3 tools are in theory better than one but I don't want to drag all that around when I'm just going for a hike or to forest.

They maybe just wanted to ego stroke with "you spent so much, look what I got for less" or IDK...

Warcraft tanto always gets interesting reactions from people, and it's name is definitely over the top, like that world of warcraft video game, but it's amazing knife, and I really love that thing. But I find it odd some people will call me mall ninja for having it.

I really like tanto style blades.....
I've had knife guys treat me like some kind of pervert.....LOL
If you like, it use it.
I'll keep using it no matter what hahaha.

But yeah, I'm not sure why are people hating on tanto knives. Tantos are really robust and tough.

It's not ideal for skinning or bushcraft, but it'll get the job done. I just like them.

Nothing wrong with stashing a machete and an axe in your vehicle, but most people don't EDC those. 😝

I'm a fan of tantos because they are essentially a combination of a kiridashi and a wharncliffe.

They work just fine for the vast majority of tasks and I'd be OK with just carrying a Warcraft tanto.

Context is important. Where did this conversation take place? On a hike? Online? In the grocery store? If you’re car camping, yes I’d rather take their combo because weight isn’t an issue and better to have multiple practical tools than none. If it’s a hike or backpacking I’d take just a Mora from those choices, because again better to have a practical tool than none plus less weight.

The Warcraft tanto looks like a fun blade, but for most of my purposes it would be an impractical choice. If you like it and it serves your purposes though, then awesome. The right blade, is the blade that you like and don’t mind carrying. Who cares what others think?

Because of what you are talking about, I am guessing you mean outdoor. Mora and Tramontina are great brands, yes, they are very good. You could get some nicer stuff, but for the money it is really all you need. I don't know about Fiskars, I use their razor knives to carve wood and they are okay. I might get a Tramontina axe too, they make everything. Get an Opinel folding knife, too.

Just a hike, but they gotta make fire, and mora and machete won't split wood so there's axe, and machete is for thinner stuff... and mora is... they carve some stuff with it so it looks useful.

To me, it's crazy to carry that much stuff, they however believe they're well prepared.

That's the thing, I don't doubt they are good, and I read hundreds of comments of people claiming all they need is a Mora and so on... but I want more. I want one knife that can cut, chop and split if needed. And that's what Warcraft Tanto is. Plus a lot better steel and tougher than any of it.
The point is - as a knife enthusiast I want MORE 😆

I'm not a tanto perv - I only own 4 tantos out of the hundreds of knives I have, but my Warcraft Tanto is a keeper. It is the best example of 3V steel I have seen coming out of any production maker.
The handle, the balance, the blade shape and geometry, the steel and the heat treat... everything is spot on!

Why do you care what some random people think? If you were happy with your choice before, you should still be happy with it.

I'm happy with it. I just wonder if I'm a mall ninja or not... but if being happy with my Warcraft means I'm a mall ninja - then I'll gladly be a mall ninja 😂

I love my Warcraft and other Tanto blades and believe that have a place for working as well as fighting knifes .

But I don't think in terms of them vs other tools .

Most tried and true practical tools work well for their purpose , that's why people still buy and use them .

There is no " best" . Only what works for you, in whatever you need to accomplish .

IMO , Warcraft is one heck of a survival field/combat knife .:thumbsup::thumbsup:

If the knife is sufficient for your use then yours completely fine. If you were on a multi- day hike and needed to build a light shelter it would be easier with the 3 blade combo than the warcraft, but do you care?
