David - Since you asked, here is my favorite Buster-engraved English Bowie. Bowies like this, so richly engraved my him, are seldom found. Coop really captured this one to it's fullest!

David - I'll just do one more for now. It is perhaps the simplest yet most complicated of my Warenskis. Once you really check out the image, you'll understand why I say this. The bladestock is over 3/8" thick, and sharp all the way around. I have some that haven't been imaged yet, and in fact, a really beautiful trailing point hunter is on the way to Coop today.

The Scimitar is about 15" overall with handle of nicely grained African elephant ivory.

The Scimitar is amazing, Bob, and must be quite heavy too. I can just
imagine the damage it could do if used.... Wow!
I'm sorry, it is the knife's exotic design that lets my imagination
run far and wild...

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Yes, David, the Scimitar is not easily wielded. I would certainly hate to drop it on my foot, though it never leaves it's display case, actually.

The Scimitar continues to be a source of amazement for me when I think of what went into creating it - and the purity of the lines.

Here are two of my favorites as displayed in Buster's section
in my fixed-blade's book.

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

"Fire and Ice", 1995
This, the third knife in Warenski's Legacy Series, was designed with rubies and
diamonds, hence its name, "Fire and Ice". The 8" (203 mm) blade is made of
work-hardened 18k gold. The handle is rutilated quartz crystal with light reflecting
golden rutile crystals. All the fittings and the sheath are 18k gold sculpted and
engraved. In all, 28 ounces of 18k gold, 22 rubies (4.25 carats) and 75 diamonds
(7 carats). The red gouache-type enameling adds the final "blaze" to the "fire".
Engraving by Julie Warenski. Overall length 13" (330 mm).

"Crystal Push-Dagger", 2002
The 440C stainless steel blade is 5" (127 mm) long, the handle is 416 stainless
steel inset with a panel of blued steel that has been engraved and gold inlaid,
then covered with an inlay of optical grade quartz. The sheath is nickel-silver
with gold inlay and engraving. Engraving and gold inlays by Julie Warenski.
Overall length 7 1/2" (190 mm).
