Warm Weather Hikers?

If the trail isn't too rough I love my Keen H2 sandals. They protect my toes well but do get gravel and twigs stuck in them from time to time.
 
I, too, love my Keen Newport H2 sandals. They saved my life on a trip a few years ago, and now they're my preferred footwear for just about everything. As for backpacking, they work best with lighter loads. Otherwise, I don my Keen Newport Trail shoes.
