On June 10th I ordered a WickedEdge from Bestsharpeningstones.com. They have some pretty attractive prices on their website, and claim same day shipping if ordered before 2PM eastern time. They are also listed as an authorized distributor on the Wickededge website.

Three days later I have heard nothing from them regarding a shipping notice so I emailed them. I wait another day and no response. So I call their number. I get an answering service who says they cant give me an order status, but they can take a message so I leave one. I wait another 2 days and hear nothing. I spend another 3-4 days trying to get ahold of them via phone, leave messages through the contact form on their website, and send multiple emails. Still no response. Order status on their website still says the order is processing.

On June 22nd, I call my credit card company and open a dispute on the charge. This week the money was credited back to my account, so that is good news.

I checked the Better Business Bureau on bestsharpeningstones.com, and there are over 30 complaints against them going back a couple years regarding non-delivery, none of which they have responded to.

I've since ordered direct from WickedEdge, just need to wait for them to get stock but at least I know they will deliver.

Just a warning for others regarding the issues with bestsharpeningstones.com. Avoid like the plague.....

Best, Les.

You might want to pass that info on to Wicked Edge. If they are listed on their website, they must do some kind of vetting and background checks. Certainly, that would be viewed by me as some kind of endorsement.

Anyway, it might interest them and if they find merit to your situation they may remove them from the site to keep others from having your problem.

Just a thought...

Robert

Your experience is the same as many others including me. Wickedge knows about them. They where supposed to cut them off a year or 2 ago from what I was led to believe. I paid with PP. I took me about a month to get my money back. Anyway now you know. They are also on EBay.

As suggested, I sent an email to Wicked Edge detailing my experience. I told them considering this merchants history, it would do current and future Wicked Edge customers a service by removing them from their vendors list.

Best, Les.

I just received this response to my email from Wicked Edge:

Dear Leslie,
Thank you for taking the time to write and bringing our attention to this situation. We apologize for the actions of Best Sharpening Stones with regards to your order. We are now taking corrective action with Best Sharpening Stones to make sure problems like this do not present themselves in the future.

At Wicked Edge we believe customer service to be the highest priority. We will do everything we can to make sure the dealers who represent our products meet our standers of customer service and communication.

Once again thank you for writing. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you.

Sincerely,

Kyle Kaplan

We'll see if Best Sharpening Stones is removed from their dealers list, or if these are empty words.
