This may have already been brought up before but I thought it would be worth mentioning again even if it had. I picked up a couple of pair of shorts the other day at Walmart. One pair was a Wrangler distressed type jean short. They were quite comfortable off the rack so I just put them on and started wearing them that day. I did quite a few chores around the house with my ebony Churchhill in my pocket and later that afternoon I took my knife out of my pocket to use it and it felt gritty in my hand. As I looked it over it had a very fine sandy type material all over it from the bottom of the pockets. Of course the oil on the knife just attracted it in. And as I looked over the knife I could tell that it had rubbed areas on to the bolsters and basically gave the whole knife a light sand blasting. I gave the knife a good cleaning and generally I wasn't too worried about it since this is my user knife but I imagined having a really nice knife in my pocket without a slip and it basically giving it a sandblasting. So it was my hope to just give everybody a heads up so that they don't learn the hard way like I did and end up having a surprise they weren't expecting. I'll be washing those jeans first with the pockets pulled out in the future.
