Warranty for Custom Shop Knife

i totally agree with that too. Most people given the right tools can do most anything.. They just have to get by the "this knife costs this much and i'm gonna do hand sanding on it. and if it looks like poop, then i have to deal with tellin people i did this and made it look worse." Fear... i think he could do a good job and it would be easier than sending it conus and waiting and paying for the return shipping. but, it sounds like he does not want to.....................Yours looks great by the way!

lalilulelo, you are planning on filing an insurance claim, yes? You may want to reach out to the Seller, and ask that he/she save all receipts & copies of the shipping documents from your package until you get this sorted out. I believe that USPS may require the receipt from the shipping transaction as well as the shipping documents to be included on a claim... But I may be wrong here.

I'm curious as to how they could have scratched up that handle... Sorry to hear this, and I hope that it all works out for you.

Yeah it looks like someone rubbed it over rough concrete or something. Insurance claims are a real pain, file one if you can but don't expect anything to come of it. That's one of those problems I'd try to fix myself with a bit of sandpaper or scotchbrite, but if you aren't comfortable with that it's understandable. Good luck, hope they're a bit less rough on it when you get it back.

J85909266 and Horton, I appreciate your advices, but it's a small country down here, and I live in an apartment, sanding G10 in my living room or bedroom isn't something that I would want to try.

I could sand it outside my apartment, but if my neighbors see me with a big knife, complain letters from the management will be the least of my concerns.

I know sending it back for a refurb is expensive and unwise especially when I can do it myself, but I would rather not take the risk of getting caught in the public with a big knife.
