Warranty Problem/Issue

I have purchased a replacement pocket clip from Spyderco over the phone and was very satisfied with their service.Should I have called Santa Clause instead ? :confused::)
 
I'm not sure how this is a warranty issue and like others, I've always paid for the clips I buy.
