Warranty question

I bought an NIB FRN Native awhile back. Loved the knife, especially the S30v steel. Unfortunately, the pivot pin was a little loose. Rather than send my new toy off to Golden in the mail, I tightened it myself with a vise. And overdid it. Now I can just barely open it one-handed and it has found its way to the bottom of my knife drawer:(. My question is, did I void the warranty by tightening the pin myself? Can I still send it in for repairs, or is my little buddy forever to be replaced by other knives? Here's hoping for a happy ending.

You can send it in. Go to Spyderco.com and all the directions are found there on what to do. My guess is your tinkering nulled your warranty so it will cost you I'm guessing $20 for repair and $5 for shipping (whatever the web page says).
