Warranty questions for Sal

Before I bother you guys on the phone, I had a warranty question...I have owned a pre-'98 Endura for about five months or so, and absolutely LOVE it! Unfortunately, while I was sitting down to browse the internet this morning I caught the clip on the back of the chair and broke it clean off. :-( I love the knife, but the pocket clip is essential to me. Luckily I have a Calypso to use as a backup, but I's really like to get the Endura replaced if possible. As I said, it's pre-'98, so it has the plastic clip, and I think I like it better than the new ones, in fact. If a warranty is possible, let me know with a brief message and I'll be calling!

Well, I'm not Sal..but I do have an answer for you.

Send it in!

Keith or Eric can grind that clip down flush with the body, and put a nice metal clip on..it'll be beautiful!

I had a friend send a Delica in because the clip had become sprung and wouldn't stay in his pocket anymore. When he got it back you would never know that the metal clip was not supposed to be on there. No rough spots or nothin'. Seems like he said it didn't take too long to get it back either. Gotta love that customer service!

Thanks for the replies...I was worried I wouldn't like the knife with the mod, but it sounds like it's the way to go. I was contemplating making a Kydex sheath for it from some leftover material I had, but then again the whole point to buying a Clipit is to keep it in a pocket! I will send it is as soon as possible. Thanks, Spyderco!
 
There are times/situations when you need more security than a pocket clip for your Spydie. Kydex or Concealex sheaths are ideal then. They also will work with knives with broken clips, but sheath should be formed on knife with clip for best results.
