Warranty shutdown for Remodel

Are wood handle scales covered by the warranty? When I first got my oak 110, one scale had a "ridge" running through it. Also neither scale mated up completely flush with the bolsters.

The ridge has since developed into quite a crack. I'm concerned that it might actually break and come off.

I'd like to get both scales replaced, but I don't want the rest of the knife messed with. The blade has a nice patina built up, it locks up like a bank vault, and is nicely centered when closed.

Should I send it in?

I finally got around to sending my 110 in for warranty service today. One of the oak scales is cracked deeply all the way down it, and the other one is curled up on both ends so it doesn't meet the bolsters.

We'll see how they do. I'm hoping for a good result.
