I asked some months back about Goltz knives, but didn't have any takers. I'd appreciate any information on his work, styles, photos, availablity, etc

thanks

I ws in a local shop yesterday and they had 4 Warren Goltz knives of different styles that were betweel $175-$300. Great looking knives but I had never heard of Mr Goltz myself.

That's interesting, I bought a few of Warren's knives from a fellow in AL.
Warren's knives are outstanding in workmanship!!

I haven't seen Warren in several years. As I recall he made hunters. Don't remember any fighters or the like. They were clean contemporary styles, and his craftsmanship was very good. I remember him as a nice, decent man. I don't have any pictures, but seems the knives were drop points with tapered tangs and bolsters.

Just wanted to mention that warren goltz lives in ada minnesota as he graduated in the same class as my father and made knives of all types. I have a variety of them from him and have inherited a few more as my dad just passed away last month. I have many styles from small to as large as a rambo style knife. He was an excellent maker. I did talk with him last summer when i was checking to see if he was still making knives and he said no more due to arthritis in his hands. Hooe thus helps more!
