That is one cool pic, if true :) JK :). How was this one done?

i met warren thomas at the plaza cutlery show a few years ago. he had some really cool stuff there. i really liked a waki that was a cf laminate with carbide edge. very sharp.

he explained the process and design to me, but i dont remember. i just thought everything was super cool!

ive been on the verge of buying one of the folders a few times, but always decide against it. please keep us updated as you use it more.

Cool WTs. How would you rank the edge holding? What steel would it be closest to in your experience?

Yup, it's real :p, the pic was taken when I visited a Lab. my friend works at (he's a metallurgist). You can see the actual saw like cutting edge running horozontaly along the top of the picture. (It's rather hard to get good pictures of something like that at high mag.).

Here is another pic of the point and where the carbide line meets the Ti. I'm not sure what the mag. is on this one.

Haze,
Great pics. I see the edge clearly on the first pic you posted and the other two are cool!

Nice knife! I have a Strider SNG reblade in orange that I love. The washers on your whale shark should be nylon.

WT's knives are fantastic. Good for you.
I have a WT7 and a M2 incoming. A Red M2. :)

These are my Strider SnG washers (supposed to be phosphor-bronze :D)

Yeah, definitely my WR ones are different :D

Gress, that is a NICE knife, Warren Thomas makes excellent stuff. I don't have one YET, but I do have lots of experience with titanium blades as I carry and use Mission's which is an all titanium knife, handle, blade, pivot, screws, clip, etc.

I Love em, they don't rust, period end of discussion and their very tough. I can't get mine hair splitting sharp but I can get them sharp enough to use and have skinned many a white tail, squirrel and clean a pile of ducks and geese with my MPF 3. The edge on mine holds for a good while. Other than the expense there is no draw back to em.

I'm envious as I've been looking for the exact knife you bought for a while, congrats that is a fine knife that will probably outlast you. You've really got yourself something there, hand on to it.

Take Care and welcome to the wonderful world of titanium blades, you will not be disappointed.
