What is the liner (lock) made of and is there a detent or a small bearing to hold the blade closed ? Also what is behind the liner lock IOW what causes the liner to spring? If there is no detent or bearing what keeps te blade in the closed position?

The liner is Carbon Fiber, and it looks like the "spring" is a bent bar of Carbon Fiber?

I have never had the knife apart to know for sure. There does seem to be a detent of some sort. Looks like a nylon button that creates friction to keep it closed?
