Can I take apart a Zt knife without voiding the warrenty, or will it be voided if I take it apart.

Kershaw has an excellent warranty and even better customer service. They will still take care of you if you have any problems in the future.

yup your fine. my 0350 was hitting the g10 slighty at the tip he TOLD me to get a file and file it down slighty..FIXed the problem just fine

If there's a problem they will. In my case, I had a broken torsion bar. I said I wanted to fix it myself, but did not have the proper tools. They promptly sent a couple of torsion bars and a little torx tool. It's not the best, but it got the job done.

If you cycle the blade open and closed a bunch in succession, you can fatigue the spring. Sitting at your desk, opening and closing the knife for a few hours in a row is not just bad for your thumbs. On the plus side, it was fixed in two days (super fast shipping).

Taking apart your ZT won't void your warranty. If you go to their contact page:

You'll see something like this attachment when you go thru the pull downs until you come to "Warranty Service". They'll send you just about all the small parts you'll ever need. :D

:D They will also send you a whole set of screws for a knife in case you loose a couple while taking it apart due to shag carpets, and if you ask they will even throw in a catalog..... umm.... err.... so I have heard ;)

There's this Old Hickory butcher knife that I found in the street that I'm trying to give away. Interested? ;)

I even sanded off the rust. :D

I never had myself a 1000th post giveaway, but then again I can't even afford knives for myself :(

I never had myself a 1000th post giveaway,

I had not been aware of the practice either until kershawguy's post but think it is a great idea.

It sure could make those of us who post in quantity rather than quality reconsider ourselves? :o

That or become very inventive regarding the nature and number of gifts involved? :p :D

It was pretty standard practice back in the Kershaw subforum before it got shut down, but even then I never had one. Maybe when I hit 2k I'll have enough knives to let one go.
