Warrior how is the recovery going?

Thanks guys, appreciate it.

mountainmist??? That's a name I haven't seen for many moons now, haha. How ya been, you young fart you?

Doing really good! 3 years into college (Doing civil engineering at UofL) and just got done with a year long internship. Still in to knives (spent a few bucks of my internship money on Adventure Sworn, Fiddlebacks, and bark rivers). Also rock climb a bit now. Still drop in and out of these parts. I've gotten to know Kevin (Spark, Bladeforums owner) pretty well since he owns the knife shop a few miles from where I live.

Dang, 3 years into college. I remember when you first started here in 2013. Guess that was a few years ago now. Easy to lose track of time.

Petty cool you're that close to Spark's shop.

you're like an hour from Murph and Todd.

Thanks man. Looks like they're not gonna call today. Last time I went on Thursday, they contacted me Friday.

Glad to see you still above the dirt Warrior. Since I saw your Covid post. I got it myself. I feel 95% recovered now after 2-2.5 weeks from start to finish. Apparently there is a very wide scale of potential symptoms. Myself , it started with a rough throat, then it went to: running nose, hot and cold sweats, cold hands and feet off and on, fatigue, brain fog, Hershey squirts, but the topper at day 6-7 was the shortness of breath. That was the one thing that scared me. I was close to the edge for a couple of days with almost going to the hospital for breathing issues. It felt like my lungs where painted inside. I had to keep it under mental control not to panic. I got through it and feel close to normal 2.5 weeks later. The weird part is that I never had a fever, when taking my temp at home in isolation. But my test was positive from the lab and I felt like crap for a long time, lots of sleeping when I could. I am very, very, grateful that it didn't do a number on my lungs. It was close, and it was spooky. This thing is not a joke.

Thanks brother, glad to see you made it through. Wonder if you got covid pneumonia as well? Some people get it, and it clears up in no time. Me, it's taken 3 months. I read that it can take up to 6 months to completely heal. No, it is no joke, for sure.

There were two times I felt I couldn't get any air. Once, at the hospital, and one as soon as I got home. I used my inhaler both times to clear it up. Plus, I had to be on oxygen 24/7. I haven't been on oxygen for 2 weeks now, and my numbers stabilize between 95-97. Should be good to go.

Hope your hear all is clear and good to go :thumbsup:

Heard from the doctor's office today. Said my left lung has made major improvements. Looks like I will be returning to work very soon. The doc has released me, but I have to wait for IDPH to release me. I have to call them tomorrow.

Just called IDPH, and got a release letter, saying it was okay to go back to work. Forwarded it to HR, and waiting to hear from them. Texted my boss the info, and she said she would have to talk to the big boss, and see if I should come back a few hours a day, until I'm able to go full steam again. I proposed working half days the rest of the week, and full steam ahead starting Monday. Waiting for a response.

Haha. HR just called me, and said I'm not released until my doctor sends her the info saying I'm released with no restrictions. So, I called the doctor's office, and told the receptionist the information, and now have to wait for a nurse to call back, so I can tell her the same info. Never thought returning to work would be so involved.
