Was/Is/Will there ever be a better forum than this one?

This looks like as good a place as any to express my gratitude to Spark and Mike for all the work they put into the BladeForums. You guys appear to bust your butts trying to keep everything up and running smoothly, as well as police (not in a bad way) the posts so that they don't stay out of hand when the inevitably do get out of hand.

So, for all that and more, I say, "Thank you."

Maybe.

Anything's possible. There always is someone better and someone worse.

I would say that is becoming increasingly difficult just because of the size and content of bladeforums. It takes a lot of time just to read this one.

There always is someone better and someone worse.

By process of elimination, you will eventually discover the ultimate and penultimate in any field.

I won't enter into the argument over which is better. I will say we are different and for a reason.

Again Spark and myself are only the grounds keepers here. We try to maintain a well groomed arena for all of us (Myself included) to enjoy.

Think of it this way. If you were in a city that did not have a great place to go and hang out with your friends, and you had the capability to create such a place, wouldn't you make one too?

This is such a place.

Enjoy......

BF today is better than KF was before the "great split", the details of which we need not dredge up. It's the best ever, bar none.

Other than those server errors of course, but those'll get fixed. Spark and Mike ROCK!

Nothing is forever and there is always room for improvement.

We are only as good as the people who come here, and I for one always hope that we continue to bring out the best in everyone.

Other than that, I'm not going to make a comment because I think that we have a good thing here and I don't want to jinx it.

I've personally learned more about knives since coming to BF than I ever knew before. Conversing with guys like Ken Onion, Lynn Griffith, Bob Taylor-heck even Al Polkoski e-mailed me once! Call me star-struck, but this is the coolest place online. I can't wait to sign on and check out the new postings, and I'm learning to do file work, having Mike Sastre make sheaths for me..it's turned into a lifestyle for me almost overnight. Thank you Mike and all the moderators. Even the flames add spice, although it's nice to hear Spark say "Time to shut it down!" You can almost hear that whistle from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly! Seriously, thanks again guys.

no.
this place rocks!!
thanks Mike & Spark, and all the members - who'd a thunk it? My friends complain they can't reach me on the phone because I'm always prowling my "knife porno chat group" [their words]. Ah, how little they understand . . .

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

Mike and Spark deserve a lot of credit for always looking for ways to improve the forums. They just don't let them stagnate. They know they have a huge amount of intellect they can draw upon, and they do. They ask the members what they would like and if it's doable it gets done. They have an ever increasing membership which shows just how good this place is.
There is NOTHING like putting out your question or opinion and seeing the best of the knife world respond.
My hat's off to all the moderators, members and of couse Mike and Spark!
