Those famous words of President Blutarsky echoed clear and true when I awoke this morning. My intention to actually make a decision as to my 2018 knife of the year in Jacks "there can be only One ,Highlander." thread seems to have been thrust into a hole in the space time continuum..um with the locking of said thread.
According to my chronometers it is still 2018 so I hereby tender my contribution.
(Turns to audience sinisterly raising eyebrows and twisting evil moustache between thumb and fore finger)

So anyways...here are the additions to my collection gathered in 2018....actually got 2 more on way which I wont receive until 2019 ...which is next year:D. Although technically I did purchase them in 2018...

As you can see...a rich and beautiful haul.
But as per the Yorkshiremans rules...I nominate the the Burnt Bone orange S&M stockman....just above the smooth bone solingen Bear Hunter,next to the Hemlock Green Calf Roper and just below the Autumn CalfRoper which is below the Copperhead Dixie stockman.....and the 2 2019 Buck forum knives..
So why that one? Well my friends its a long story....this knife was sent to me by Dwight (Fodderwing)...2018 began as the worst year ever in all of my 54. I was to be honest very sad and alone without a house or home. I felt like an ant in one of those slippery pits.
Suffice to say the porch maintained a place of gravity and centre for me. Its not just about knives.

Outlook brighter.
The simple gesture of getting in contact and sending me this knife as a gift from a friend and firefighting comrade went miles in making me feel better....that was the beginning of 2018 .Thank You Dwight.
And I havent forgotten R8Shells gifting me goldmembership.Thank you too. I shall have my revenge in the New Year.....yep just checked...its next year.:p:D:thumbsup:

Well we Kiwi's dont actually have any Aussie friends, but I look at Meako like that little wee Pup- who got a bit stuck and starved of Oxygen at birth.... he still needs loving- and dammit I will take this task on and love that wee boy!

lol - they will soon try to take the credit for that - believe me- they have done it with everything else!
The way I look at it- we need everything that was naturally in place - ok... the Aussies began as the Heathen outcasts from the bad days of England- and this blood still runs in their veins when the Aussies continually show what they are made of when playing Cricket - Underarm Bowling and Ball Tampering etc - but like I said everything in it's place - after all the World still has it's place for Dung Beatles, worms, snakes and of course Australians - I always say that when there is a negative happening - try ....try to pull something positive from it, so a quick glance at Australia - and theres a lot of negativity there - but.... we have Meako, and that's something positive.

lets face it ..if the Maori had invented bagpipes you would have a achieved a world first in silly things to do on battlefields.
As for Rusty Crowe and Crowded House...well i think we did you all a favour by stealing them.
