Joe

Thanks , She got in the shower so I managed to steal it back for a few minutes. I will gladly give it back to her though. Whatever it takes to get her interested in the hobby.

Way too cool of a story! I'd most certain keep that knife and pass it down later in life to someone close to you.

This is an awesome story. I do need to make one correction. The Jurassic Gears Edition is not limited to Monkey Edge.

Rick is just a great guy and an amazing knife maker/designer. Enjoy your new Jurassic, looks awesome!

Thank you on the correction.
Who else is going to offer the gear edition?
Rick seemed very down to earth and as you said a great guy.

We had about 10 of them but they sold out really quick. I think we are getting a few more later this week.

Rick is also making gear clips so you can put a working gear clip on any of your Hinderer knives. We have gotten in a bunch of these but they sell out the same day. Hoping this next order of them will go as quick:)

That gear clip is addictive.

Looks like a knock off. :D

Very cool story. Guessing it will be one that does not get resold without great need.

This post reminds me of a story I heard from a Hinderer employee a couple of years ago.

Rick was at a local charity auction. If I remember correctly it was for the Fire Department, but don't quote me on that. He had donated a knife for the cause and the auction on it went just wild. It made a lot of money for the charity and it was supposed to be the last item of the night. Instead Rick ended up going up on stage and taking the Custom Hinderer out of his pocket and putting it up as the bonus item. I never did hear what it went for but I am pretty sure it was not a small amount. The guy is just salt of the Earth.
