They are my take on the "Spanish notch". I decided to do it on these some of these for two reasons. I like the old school look and also to allow the bevel to come back further but keep the actual cutting edge slightly forward of the transition apex between the handle and cutting edge for safety reasons. With the blade not dropping low below the handle nor havin a very abrupt down turn in the transition, I wanted to decrease possible slicing of the users hands if the knife slipped. It doesn't eliminate the chance, just a slight decrease.
 
Thanks for the reply. It strikes me as quite similar to the cho or kaudi notch on traditional khukuri blades.

I think it's Wednesday. I'm not sure...too tired to be clear on this.

Well Douglas and Nathan, what you don't realize is that now your attendance at Trackrock is mandatory. Last time we reunited an epic set of the mini Loveless batch. I suspect the Frontier line is next on the docket. Start packing...and bring those Revenants!
