would putting bronze washers, or something better from knifekits.com Make my super CQC-7 open smoother with still having the pivot pin tight.

The Knife Kits washers are much too small both in inner and outer diameter. Probably too thin as well.

All Emerson washers are 0.032 thick with a 0.255 ID to pass the .250 pivot. External diameters are either 0.500 or 0.625.

I have replaced the Nylatron washers with PB washers of the correct size and quite frankly there was no improvement in any aspect of performance except possibly a bit stiffer for prying with the pivot very tight but then folders shouldn't be pry bars.

Those who think EKI uses Nylatron because it is cheaper are wrong, they use it for best all around performance.

Once your Super is broken in, or perhaps needs pivot cleaned, you should be able to reach a point where it opens smoothly and locks tight in all directions.
