I contacted a member about a possible trade, and had a short conversation about shipping details, the knives... They then replied that they live in Canada, and would ship my end AFTER they received theirs. Not after I sent an email about tracking... Mind you, this member also Joined May 1st 2012, has ONE post, and ZERO feedback. After I explained that we ship the same day and both provide tracking, the contact stopped. Never got an email back after 20 minutes or so of emails back and forth. Just seemed a little strange.
 
Yup I asked him again if he was interested, and that it's unlikely anyone here would ship with those guidelines and he replied with "Nope sorry dont want to get scammed."
 
you earn your place here. You can't be a member for one day and expect things... glad you didn't do it.

That davidgerberlover, just happened to join today, and traded with theknifenut paracord and $5 for the mini paraframe. Is this not a bit strange?
 
This is not simply strange. It is a major violation of Bladeforums rules. It is a troll or shill account, a banning offense.

Any time you suspect a problem with another member, go to their post, look in the lower left corner for the small triangle icon. Click on it (Report Post) and when the pop-up dialog box appears, let us know what's up. The moderators will take care of it from there.

I will take care of this one now.
 
bernard_s3, when this began, you weren't sure if you should post this. You were absolutely right to do so, and the result was that a scammer has been banned for it. Thank you.
 
Yeah well I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt because he was new, but when I noticed he posted a knife for trade ( I mean a Mini Paraframe :rolleyes:) and it was traded in ten minutes, I knew something was up. Thanks for canning the clown!
 
I wish It would become a rule for people with 0 or less that a set number of feedbacks to haft to ship first, I had to do it alot to build my feedback up but some people get so mad when you ask them that, and the response is well i have this many on ebay, or I'm not gonna screw you. I just wish this were a rule
 
I always shipped first when I was new and had no feedback ,I never had a problem with that and new members should just look around and see that is how it is often done. I had some awesome longtime members ship at the same time without telling me and I would get the stuff the same day they got my shipment ,there are some great people around here.
I wish people would read the rules they are here to help us !!
