"Waspizashi" 3V short sword

Agreed with the thoughts on the guard. Otherwise, that looks to be about one of the nicest close-quarters pieces this side of a Waki or a Gladius!
Like the fuller treatment on the sides, and the pseudo one on top!

Any chance you'll have something like that at the OKCA Show if you plan on attending?

Yes I will be there. I will have some different blades in this style for sure.
I believe the theme this year is Japanese style blades, should be some very cool stuff on display.

I do like the size of the guard as well...nice and tight.

But then again if you are in a sword fight you are going to have bigger problems then a small guard :)

Hope to be able to make it down there this year and meet you. Really like your work.
Do you work in steel other than the A-series? Each of the Japanese style blades would really kick it in 1095 or W-2 with traditional or modern Hamons!

Look forward to seeing your work!

Cute kids!

Thanks, we think so. : )

I am mostly doing these in CPM 3V right now.

I opened this thread and my traditional Japanese self said "What?". In milliseconds my 21st Century self said "LOVE!".

I loves me a harpoon, wasp, shark fin, whateveryawanna call it clip. Mounted on a Waki threw my balance for a second. Wow, that's hot and I love it.

I want one!!! A larger Tsuba and all the fullers in the same design as the one on the spine would be my only requests.

What is the menuki design on this one?

Beautiful family!

I'm impressed with all of your work, but I really like this Waspizashi!

Thanks Chris

Thanks very much Rob. The Menuki is hammer textured and anodized titanium in an oval/diamond shape, reminiscent of stingray.
