Wassup with you Bubbas this weekend??????

GOing to a friend's band's performance tomorrow night, doing a little shop work tonight, and doing some shooting on Sunday. Gotta finish a knife order ive had for ages in order to fund a new firearm purchase I am lusting over (S&W 627 Performance Center)

Well I got an email today from a woman asking if I was in the Air Force back in '88 in Biloxi, MS. Apparently she is the wife of my best bud from back then that I lost touch with after tech school. So tonight (actually in a few minutes) he's supposed to call so we can play 20 year catch up. I've tried locating him in the past with luck and ironically she found my name through BF!!!! See? Making knives isn't just about sharp steel things, it brings buddies back together!!!!

Going to be polishing my next attempt at a clay HT...even though it warped real bad in the quench, because I dropped it in and it hit the bottom. At least that maybe the reason. I may anneal, straighten, and redo it.

Got a call from IG around 8 PM Friday evening (while at work), his PC is on the fritz, no internet connection. It'll probably be down over the weekend.

TSO Rocks!
My wife and I went last year and will be going again this year. Good show!

Have fun! BTW Larry thanks for the welding advice you gave me at Ashokan, my MIGwelds have improved immensely! of course now I'm forgewelding the handles onto my billets after initial weldup, but I have put your advice to good use on other stuff, and my welds are much better for it. Thanks!

Page,

I can't wait to see the show, I've never seen them and I've only heard a limited amount of there music. As I've been playing guitar most of my life (mostly electric) those are the tones that grab me. Linda and I are really really going enjoy this concert  It's gonna be great. :D

No problem with the welding advice, anytime I can help.

If you ever make it to IG's I'll meet you there. Spring HI maybe :jerkit:

I am back, thanks to Justin Mercier. He install my DSL and the network card. Again, thanks bro.:thumbup: Damn, what a difference.:cool:

I hope it wasn't out of Indian primary chain.
:mad::mad::jerkit:HEHEHEHEHE!!!

Nope I forged it from a punch I found in my tool box. I have a picture somewhere on my hard drive. It came out pretty good IMHO. I hope nobody gets hooked because I sharpened it good.

Finishing up the Birchfield Bowie and getting started on a couple camp knives here.

IG, what does "Portagee kale soup" have in it ? If I had to guess, coming from your soup pot, I'll bet its HOT  What is kale ? Hey, I don't get out much ;)

Sturgeon Fishin, Caught 2 under sized but still fun!!

Chuck

Sturgeon fishin ?? A friend of mine sent this pic, it was recently caught in South Haven Michigan ......supposedly. Its just a short distance from my Dads place :), I can't confirm the catch (or pic)(photoshop?) but its a biggun nonetheless. Chuck, I hope you catch one twice as big ;)

I didn't make it to hot:o, because I gave some to my new tenants. Didn't want to burn them out the first week.;). Kale is a green leaf vegetable. The soup contains Portagee sausages, cube beef, onions, garlic, potatoes, celery, carrots, basil, oregano, Gravy Master, red kidney beans and some of my HT'g relish.;)
The soup came out great, I had some for breakfast this morning. It always taste better the 2nd or 3rd day. HEHEHEHEHE!!
What sucked was that my canister did come out the way I wanted it. I burnt it. I left it in my forge for 40 minutes because it was like 3 pound of chains and powder. I probably will get a 2 pound billet out of it, but not the pattern that I wanted. It still should be cool looking.:confused: As my buddy Wolf said " if you don't like the pattern, make it into a twist pattern". HEHEHEHEHE!!

I would love one that size. Goal is to catch one heavier than me. That one would be close to 1000#. I've seen em just not on the end of my line. Biggest one I caught was 44lbs. Long way to go. By the way I would have to let that one go here. That's ok too just love playing the fish.

The soup sounds like a winner IG :thumbup: As much as you like to cook (& it sounds like you're pretty good at it) you should have your own restaurant:)

Yeah Chuck, I hear ya. I love the fight too  I've never caught a sturgeon though. Trout,Salmon, Wallys and Panfish for me.
