Watch out for these guys!!!!

Maybe it's just me, but...

Are you saying these guys are good or bad? "Watch out for these guys!" says (to me) "don't do business with them." But then, your last comment is, "They're excellent to deal with."

Which is it?

PARA, it's just a little joke. Something to get people to say "oohhhhh!!!! Who is getting reamed now!" and look at the thread. Then when you read it you see that who he is talkiing about are in reality really great people to deal with. Be honest, do you read GB&U for the good or the B&U? Most people come in here to see who is getting reamed for a lousy deal or checking to see if a knife they want from someone is a trustworthy person with which to deal.


So in other words, yes he thinks they are excellent people to deal with.

I admit, I read for the B&U. I look up the G before I commence on a deal. Wasnt there a huge thread really tearing this subject apart a couple months back? NW
 
To clarify, my intent was to let all know that these guys are good to deal with. The title of the thread was made to draw attention. That's all. ;)
 
Thanks. I'm new here, but I catch on fast, especially when people tell me stuff. :p

I actually look for the G, B *&* U. The G's I need, since I'm just defining/starting my collection. The B&Us are just good entertainment (and warnings, of course). What I can't fathom is why there are so many U's. I can't imagine entering into a trade/sale in a public forum if I was planning to screw someone over! I guess since I don't screw people over I just don't think that way. Oh well... I've spent thousands - yes, *thousands* - on Internet purchases, and have never gotten "screwed". (The jury is still out on my first-and-only Botach experience, though...)

For the most part, people around here are honest folks, but sometimes you do get a few bad apples. There is always a risk of getting burned on a trade or a sale, so you need to have a sense of trust with the person you deal with. So far, I've been fortunate as all the guys I've dealt with have been honourable and legitimate individuals.
