Watch Pocket Knives?

CASE Swayback Gent gets in there very nicely. However, I do have reservations about WP carry, often I've found a knife can escape from there and couple of times I've nearly lost a decent knife......so I don't use the WP as much as formerly.

Yeah, I found my GEC #14 Lick Creek protruding at an odd angle one day. So much for that knife/pocket combo!

Now I carry the #06 Pemberton- it seems to stay put just fine, and it's also bit easier to slip my hand past to access change. ;-)

(Both are jigged bone, 35w Carhartt jeans)

I can comfortably carry something like a two blade 73 in my watch pocket most days, but my Fayette Jack feels like it was designed to ride there. Nothing sticking out, keeps it slim and unobtrusive, and is easy to retrieve. It kind of ruined some of my larger knives because now whenever I carry one I just remember how the Fayette feels over my more substantial slipjoints.

My watch pocket is the only way I like to carry my main EDC knife, so nearly every knife in my collection can fit comfortably in there. My upper limit size wise is a 2 blade GEC 15, a Beer Scout. Any bigger, like a small Douk Douk, a GEC 71 or Opinel 6 tends to fall out or jab my torso when I bend over.

My main watch pocket knives recently have been a GEC 14, 15, 25 and 06 (as of last night, exciting), a Case Peanut and Mini Trapper with caplifter (and I mean to try a swayback), an Opinel 4, and an odd little equal end Imperial that's about 3" long.

If I'm carrying a little larger knife that needs to go into my front pocket, then my little SAK Classic goes in the watch pocket. Well, now it's a Rambler but nevertheless.

Otherwise, the SAK goes in the front pocket and my "main" carry goes into the watch pocket. I can comfortably carry up to my Case Mini Trapper in most of pants. The Canoe works but it's more snug and I sometimes think it could find it's way out.

I've almost always carried a small slipjoint in the watch pocket -- SAK Classic, various GECs, etc. -- but the #06 Pembertons are perfect in that role, so much so that I bought three of them! The wickedly sharp Wharncliffe blade is perfect for smaller tasks.

At work i have carrhart jeans and i have carried my case peanut in the watch pocket. I mostly carry it in the right front pocket. The watch pocket on the carrharts are huge. I can carry my supper tool 300 in there if i wanted.
