Watch Pocket Worn Traditionals

YES! :)
It was just like that.:thumbsup:
I miss that little knife a lot.
I sold it, and a few others, to pay for a "grail knife" that the owner ended up not selling.

Well, if you ever to get to the point you can’t stand not having one, hit me up. I have a spare on display that I’m not eager to sell, but I would probably do so if the guy asking was a particularly nice fellow.

I’ve enjoyed following this litte nut over the years.

thanks, time flies can’t believe 8+ years have come and gone.

Sir Stich, I salute your dedication to the legume!!!!!!

The worn jigging, the gray patina on steel, all speaks volumes of the loyalty to the humble peanut.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

thanks Carl, I think my very first post on BF was of my peanut, I’ll need to check.
The blades especially the pen blade have thinned a bit, I had to remove a bit of steel from behind the edge of the clip blade a while back as the edge rose higher and the blade stock became thicker. The mark side scale cracked after the 2000th drop haha, but other than that it’s held up under heavy use.

It definitely is impressive. Has that been your sole carry? Or do you supplement with others?

No, I am a mere mortal powerless to the lure of a sharpened edge....heck I’m a knife nut, I’ve gone stretches with it as my only knife, but I usually have more than one knife. The peanut is my always knife I’ve never not carried it since it was gifted by my wife and daughter, the pen blade sees a ton of use it’s usually my go to blade for mundane tasks, scraping, probing, awl type tasks. My first Case was a 6201 I got in 1980 when I was 8, that saw pocket time from then until around 1993, I’ll have to dig that knife out.

Can't show the 14 as it remains more or less pristine.

But the 25 should qualify;) few years ago, they were all the rage, people forming huge collections of them to the exclusion of all other patterns, same with the Peanut. Then, it's as if it all vanishes in smoke, one reason I've never understood obsessing over one pattern, becomes reductive and insular....But these odd portly knives have charm

It took me a double take to work out why your fingers looked so weird. :D

Can't wait for some of last year's GEC #14 single clip blades to be posted.
I thought they were the perfect watch pocket knife, should have never sold mine.
Anyway, there should be some out there now with some good use put on 'em.:thumbsup:
I looked a good while for the two blade #14 with a clip main blade. Found one at a knife show from a GEC dealer. Saw it, handled it, said I'll buy it. I prefer the two blade #14 and they are a perfect watch pocket knife for me. But I have this little SAK problem..... I carry the Vic Small Tinker but own a number of the 14's (the two blade clip version, the two-blade barlow version, and the two blade spear point version). I may have to take a picture of the little Small Tinker for this thread as I don't believe I've photographed it yet. It lives in my watch pocket every day!

I too have certain knives that I like to have around but have others i like to carry all the time. Who says they have to be the same? :D
