Any will do; depends on the features you need. Some are way above $100, so make sure it's below that. We could tell you what to buy, but then you're not making a choice for what you need- you're doing what you're told. All are excellent from what I've gathered, so quality shouldn't be different.

I've been wearing a Dakota Ion for a couple of years now. haven't had any problems with it. I don't abuse it, but I don't baby it either. It has held up very well. They cost ~$50.

I also got a Maratec watch band from WestCoast Time. these are really good bands. I used to get the replacements at the local drug store. Eventually I'd end up spending more on replacement bands ($5 plastic ones) than I originally paid for my watch. Plastic ones lasted me 9 to 18 months. the Maratec is over two years and still in excellent condition.

If you can find one, a Marathon General Purpose sells for around a hundred bucks. It has luminous tritium tubes on the face and hands that make reading it a snap in the dark. It can actually glow through a long sleeve shirt which is pretty cool.

I have collected a fair number of watches, some quite nice and expensive, but I wear this one almost every day. It's durable, water resistant watch with a Swiss mechanical or quartz movement (your choice) that will serve you very well. Good luck with whatever you choose!

Another vote for the G-Shock. Mine cost $250 so you probably don't want that model but it hasn't missed a beat in the 3 years or so that I've had it and I wear it every day and don't treat it gently.

G-Shocks are tough and I've got a few of them, but I prefer diver watches, because I like their looks. Seiko and Citizen divers are very tough too. The Seiko 5 Divers are quite affordable and Casio also makes some nice diver watches: the Casio AMW320 or MDV102 for example.

If you want/need a REAL watch, save up just alittle bit more money, then buy a Citizen Eco-Drive.

+1 I followed Glockman Dann's suggestion and picked up a nice modereately priced Citizen watch and I absolutely love it. It has not lost or gained time as far as I can tell with the Ft. Collins atomic clock.
It does not need a battery as it recharges the battery with any light source.

If all you care about is that it is shock and water resistant, a G-shock is the obvious choice. They can be had for $50ish and are probably the toughest on the planet. Do be advised that they don't exactly match everything (or anything, really) and might not be appropriate depending on your daily/work attire.

I work in construction and wanted a tough watch meeting your criteria. I bought a G-Shock Mudman. It a rugged watch. It's a good-sized watch with some bells and whistles, which I don't use. It's been through rain, snow, water, welding splatter, paint overspray, etc. I'd buy another.

If you don't like the style of the G-Shocks, you could look at Casio their Pathfinders too. My SGW-100B is about 70 EUR (about 93 USD). It's very legible, has 200m water resistance and though it probably isn't as shock resistant as a G-Shock, it still is very tough.

Nice, which one did you get? I own a BN0000-04H and love it. I think it is almost as tough as my G-Shocks. The case and glass are probably even tougher.

I know a lot of people laugh at them but I have used Timex watches for the past 20 years or so. I don't take good care of them, but have yet to have one fail. I had one with a crack in it, and it got a little moisture in it, and kept working. It was still working when I threw it in the drawer, it just didn't look good.

I picked up a Timex Diver watch last year. It looks very close to a Rolex SubMariner. 43 dollars... They don't have the greatest illumination, but this one has the Indiglo, and it works fine. Just push the button and the face lights up.
Its not a blinding light though, very subtle.

I've had some Seiko Divers and Aviation Chrono watches in the past. They are very nice watches, I just never used them much for some reason.

I know for some people its critical, but I've never been concerned about a watch that loses a few seconds of time a month. YMMV

GShock is the obvious choice for the specs you have listed though I have used and abused a Times Indiglo for 5 years now and it still works like day 1, but for the scratches.

For digital, one more vote for G-shock for sure. For automatic, the Seiko diver I wear is pretty much bombproof. The Seiko 5 line has a ton of affordable watches that are really good.
