Watches... again... looking for a light one...

Not that you guys wear tuxes all that often, but the solid black swatch skin is a perfect tux watch.

I took a look at Swatch Skins today. They are incredibly thin and nice looking. However, compared to my ti Luminox, I would be giving up a date display, second hand, and luminous dial. But if you want a super thin watch, I doubt that you can beat it.

What material is the crystal? Is it scratch resistant?

look at the TAG proffesional series - they are like a small divers watch, w/the elapsed time bezel, etc and very light - they run about $300 new, have seen in pawn shopsfor $150 - also look at the tudor 3/4 size subs, they are cool too but pricey - about $800 and up - or, if $$ is no prob, look at a rolex yaghtmaster, they are pretty light and small, and really pretty - about 5K - i also have the watch you would least want - a panerai GMT 44mm - big, heavy, but oh so pretty - i love it - paid 1600 from a bud who bought it overseas, a GREAT deal on it, by the way

I think it is plastic body and a reasonably scratch resistant crystal. Yes, you give up some things, but this is one of the MANY watches everyone should own. Hey, knives, watches, sunglasses, flashlights, guns, boats, cars...these aren't WIVES for crying out loud. You can have as many as you want!
