23 August 2017: To those who are interested: I messed up on the MTG-900 listing. I forgot that the member I bought this watch from (Casio G-Shock MTG-900) had stated very clearly that the backlight didn't work. When I got it, I couldn't wear it (the band was too small) and it was a little too heavy for me. It's sat in a drawer for the last several years, and during that time I forgot about the details of that original listing.

panoz77 - I'll have the full amount refunded to you by tomorrow morning. You can keep the watch, and see if you can get it running properly again. I'm very sorry for the oversight on my end.

Terms:
- First to claim it here in the thread gets it; then PM or email through my profile
- PayPal preferred
- Shipping is included (USPS Priority Mail)
- I'll ship within a day or two of payment, depending on my schedule
- Feel free to offer trades, but I prefer to sell at this point

Since these haven’t been worn in quite a while, the time & date will need to be reset (if it's not a satellite watch); I'll let the buyer do that for their time zone. All are worn & used, no boxes or paperwork, but the manuals for each of these is available online.

AVAILABLE:
Casio #G-7800B G-Shock Solar - $70.00 $50.00 I have several G-Shocks, and this one never gets worn. (it's the digital watch on the middle)

SOLD:

Seiko #7S26-0020 Automatic Dive Watch - $85. Sold & shipped to berthellen, feedback left Very nice watch, one of the more common Seiko Dive Watches from what I understand. I love the heft & weight of this one, but I haven’t worn it in months. It keeps accurate time, and is fairly easy to operate (time setting, date setting, etc.)
Casio MTG-900 G-Shock Solar - $25. Sold & shipped to panozz77 Very solid watch, but a little heavy for me.

Orca, I left a message with my email on your profile page requesting you email me your paypal ID, thanks

fewpop - check your PM's

Andrew.C -
at your membership level you may not have PM privileges. You can leave message in other members' profiles.

berthellen - the Seiko is yours

panoz77 - I have PM's out to fewpop; if he doesn't take the G-Shock MTG-900, it's yours

OK, but your original post says this

"First to claim it here in the thread gets it; then PM or email through my profile"

It does say that, but I already had communications going with fewpop on that one, with a tentative commitment for it to go to him. I should have noted that it was on hold here in the thread, but I got busy and forgot. I apologize for the confusion.

So is the G-shock sold or not? I'm prepared to pay ASAP. It's been a few days now. I didn't realize that it takes 5 days to come up with $25. I was ready to pay the minute I responded, shame.

So I received the G-shock today, it would have been nice to know it was not in 100% working condition, the rechargeable battery requires replacement as the watch is in recovery mode anytime a button is pressed, backlight does not work since the battery doesn't have enough juice, only solution is to replace the $15 battery and hope that I can do it myself without ruining the watch or screwing up the water resistance.

This is the issue with the watch, I don't want to return, but I do not feel like the item was described properly, there is no way the seller did not know this watch was not working right.

Panoz77 - I'm sorry you're not happy with the watch, I didn't realize it was in "recovery mode" (not sure what that is.)

When I got it several years ago, the band was too small for me, and it was heavier than I thought. I actually never used it, so I didn't know something might be wrong with it. As you can see in the photo, it seemed to work fine, so I didn't think anything of it.

I can offer two options:

1: You can have the battery replaced by a technician, and I'll reimburse you the cost through PayPal.

2: If you don't want to keep the watch, I'll refund your funds through PayPal and add the extra for shipping it back to me. I can also investigate placing a 'call tag', which is something I think I can do through UPS and have them pick up the watch.

Either way, I can reimburse your funds when you decide what you want to do.

I'm really sorry for the confusion.

~Chris

panoz77 - In researching this issue, I now realize that I didn't list the MTG-900 properly. See original post for my explanation of what happened.

ETA: Refund sent through PayPal @9:57am 24 August 2017

That's fine, I'll take the refund and see if it can be salvaged with a new battery, I'm still wearing my own same model watch and was buying this as a spare in case mine ever dies (I'm on my second one in 20 years), I don't think it would be worth you paying for a technician to put one in, the rechargeable battery alone is about $20.

Not sure what's the deal, but just an FYI, there is no refund showing or pending on my paypal or with my credit card company as of 3:25 pm Aug 24th, paid with my CC through paypal.

You may need to check on that refund/payment, my paypal ID is the same as my email that we have been communicating on.

I'll check when I get home; I just did the "Refund this transaction" feature on PayPal. I'm not sure how long it takes to you through.
