Watches that can survive in the field

Burrett chronograph!! I just started wearing one a few months ago (old watch--various Citizen ProMasters) and it is one solid bugger.

I've had a Luminox for a couple years. Bought it for the Tritium illumination. It has survived many backpacking trips, but I haven't really subjected it to hard use.

I had a Swatch in the Army that I accidentally submerged in bilge (water, hydraulic fluid, a little motor oil and probably some diesel fuel). I took it off and put it in the pocket of my BDUs and then forgot to take it out when I washed them. It lived and I used it until the "crystal" cracked and the batteries died.

I bought this watch about 7 years ago for about $500.00 Canadian and at the time I thought that it was quite a lot of money for a watch but since I had just broken my 5th watch in 6 months I thought that I would spend some money and see what would happen. 7 years later, I never take it off my wrist. It has undergone one overhaul 3 years ago where I had the bezel and the crystal replaced because both were so scratched up I couldn't tell time. Well worth my investment (I break everything)
