Water Cooler.....

Yesterday and today worked on a newer model, a little guy named Frank....

This is .040" thick AEB-L treated to 64HRC
Mesquite, And Laguna Blue liners. White accent liner. Still needs final work.
Might be done tomorrow?

I like working with mesquite, it's well behaved

Not a picture I wanted to take ...
Just an update of where we are.
Ill be honest I feel I'm behind. I didn't feel this way a few months ago.

Family has been busy, both absolutely Positive, and some straining.

Someone came out of the blue and wanted something I had previously started. It was right when I was waiting for heat treatment. Cool.

But then Another wanted something I wasn't ready to work on. Looking back, I should of said no. But I've been thinking of getting rid of old knives that I know I'm not going to need, especially since I can now make stuff .... Well, now I'm doing a rehandle on a Mineral Mountain. Taking up time, and idk IF I'll get anything for it?

-I needed to sell it for Steel/treatment money. So there we are....

I've got some in a hurry, waiting for my work.
I'm not going to say sorry.
This is for Fun. Family first.

I wanted to give another knife away for my birthday earlier this month like I did last year, but I gave someone Here my favorite Becker. I Ate all of that, and now I'm all out of wiggle room for awhile.

Just being real.
My allergies which I never had as a kid, suck.
Sneezing and grinding Your blade....you tell me how many More bad grind marks do you want? Ha.

I think it's better now, the last couple days are better .... allergy wise.
Yesterday I took off work, spent the whole Day at my sister's. A tornado bounced the neighbor across the field, their camping trailer against their house. It was new last year and now.....pieces.

On a positive note, I'm close to finishing up half of this.....

I'm just going to slow down commiting to anything. For awhile.

Note, I'm booked into next year. I need a few more months before I get any wiggle room for sneaking in a fun one

Sorry to hear of your allergies and set backs. Don’t let them drain the joy out of doing what you love.

I thought I started getting them last year or the year before, idk, but it was just inconvenient.....Now, ugh.... They are awful. I've been trying some stuff. But I dont like taking meds. And I thought grinding was bad....haha

Pollen has been really bad everywhere this year. Some days it was like a yellow dust storm down here.

I heard it's since city planners all these years were encouraged to plant only male trees

This was a fun couple weeks....some new steels are coming out???

I nabbed (4) bars of Pop's Procut.
I didn't think I would have to impulse, but I did.

I like Blotchy steels too, and I have a new dagger design I wanted to work on this year, and Next.....

I intend on two bars for mostly kitchen type knives, idk? These bars are four feet long, each....
So that's approximately 16 full tang knives out of this..... If you have any desires hit me up for a spot, talk about it? I also plan on a couple field knives, edc, and Fun stuff.

This is supposed to be like a 52100. I know people were saying 15n20, but I think they are wrong..... anyways I Love 52100.

I'm going to run them Hard....just how I like it.
:P

It will be interesting see the response to this new steel.

52100 is underrated, this one is going to have much more advertising, I bet.... :0

I'm undecided if I'm going to try it for Choppers, but for chefs knifes, and some hunting, edc, daggers, for people who like Blotchy steels.....then, it sounds nice
