I am looking for a good water jet cutting place. On the West Coast would be good and reasonable price would be better. From what I have read, speed of cut determines how smooth the edge is but I'm not sure about that. A short primer would be very helpful. Thanks.

Mark at Leading Edge Fab is not on the west coast, but given his typical lead time, you'll still likely get it faster than a local job shop (depending on how busy), and there's no question he knows what he's doing, especially with knife makers.

Just make sure you know what you want and have some decent drawings available. Not to say he won't work with you, but things certainly run a lot smoother for all parties involved if you know exactly what you need and have the drawings to match. It'll likely save you some money as well. I've placed a number of orders with Mark, and I've always been 100% satisfied.
