I bought a piece of the water-jet cut titanium that David had posted pictures of. This is what I have done with it so far.

The blade is 3-3/8in long made of 1095 and differentially heat treated with a hamon. The bolsters are waterjet cut titanium and are only cut about 5-8 thous deep so they are not sharp.I anodized the background bronze and then masked it and anodized the tops blue. The colors change as you move theknife in the light. Desert ironwood burl scales, dual thumbstuds and torx screws. Overall length is 7-1/2in.
Thanks for looking,
Chuck

I anodized the background gold and then painted the whole thing with nail polish. Then polished the flats with sand paper and re-anodized blue. The nail polish came off easily by soaking them in acetone.

Great job Chuck. Looks awesome and the colors look great with that wood and blade. Great job on the blade also. Nice Hamon too. What'd ya do along the spine?

Ah, now that I'm home in decent light I can see what you did. Cool! I'd love to see it in person.
