here's a mid size chopper I forged from a file. The handle has a forged in lanyard loop, and the wrap is hemp cord soaked in fiberglass epoxy. (very grippy)

The blade was water quenched and triple tempered. It has 400 grit finish and has been etched to bring out the hamon.

17 3/8'' over all, and has 12'' of cutting edge. The width is just about 1 1/2''.

Paypal,check, or money order accepted.

Price is soldw/ sheath shipping included in the US

Very nice! I thought I was the only one brave(not the word most folks use) enough to water quench a file :D

Nope, I also love to water quench (or make up a water based coolant mix with lathe cutting fluid) old files...from what I can tell the ones I use are W2 so the hamon is always very visible and very active.

Wicked knife there mate, I really like it.
