Water quenching 1084? Also building brick forge?

How do you new guys go straight to these old threads? It amazes me! This one is from over a year ago. I've pretty much given up on the idea of water/brine quenching 10xx steels, but thanks for the insight, in any case! :D

no water no guts :D :D :D

keep the edge a dime thick use warm water and an interupted quench.

the Kukri guys been doing it for years. buy a teapot.
