Belay the TekLok - use paracord with a fisherman's knot to attach to your PFD, if you make a kydex sheath. Lays flat and keeps it low profile so it doesn't snag on anything. River Shorty Factory sheath isn't that hard to put on - it's HARD to get OFF after you've lost the knife.

Whatever brands an individual decides on, I'd suggest one fixed on your PFD and one clipped IWB. Think about it.

Here's the Benchmade attached to my PFD. The lashing point and the Benchmade system matched up perfectly. The PFD is an Extrasport Osprey designed for the kayak fisherman (less flotation in back to accomodate kayak seat, more in front, pockets for gear).
