Water water water

Thom, I have to agree w/ you on how fast Norton's SiC stones cut . I've not seen much cut faster maybe a xx-coarse diamond . Now, rubbing the stones on concrete I wouldn't do .
I'd try boiling it for 3 min.(just like an egg) remove wipe and start with lacquer thinner and a metal file brush . Then finish by rubbing/lapping it w/ a med. or fine diamond stone and wash w/ water and Bar keepers friend . I think you'll be suprised . DM
 
I'd be surprised if I ever find myself boiling a sharpening stone. I've heard good things, but just can't bring myself to do it.
